extends Dialog

Displays information about the product to the user.

Example Usage:

This will show the about Windchill dialog modally.

    Frame frame = ...; // get frame from somewhere
    Dialog dialog = new AboutWindchill(frame, true);
    dialog.show();

AboutWindchill

public AboutWindchill(Frame parent,
                      boolean modal)

Create a new instance. If the resource bundle containing the localized versions the the label contents cannot be located, the dialog will fail to be initialized, but still be displayable; a stack trace will be printed to System.err. (This is behavior that should probably be changed; however clients of this class will have to be changed accordingly).

Parameters:

parent - the parent java.awt.Frame of the dialog

modal - whether or not to show the dialog modally

Method Detail

show

public void show()

Makes the Dialog visible. Also positions is so it is centered about the parent frame if the parent is valid, or centered on the screen if the parent frame is not valid. The dialog will be shrunk to fit to the screen if necessary.

getSystemLevel

public static String getSystemLevel()

Deprecated. Use wt.util.version.WindchillVersion class

The current windchill version or an empty string if it cannot be determined.

Returns:

a non-null, possibly empty string

main

This main entry point can be used to show the dialog without having to open the Windchill Explorer.
